DAY 1 – HAVANA

  • Arrival in HAVANA, reception at the airport.
  • Transfer to the Hotel
  • Lunch at one of the places related to Hemingway life and work.
  • Tour at Hemingway Route (afternoon)
  • Return to the Hotel
  • Dinner ( not included)
  • Overnight

HEMINGWAY ROUTE TOURS - Guide visit to Hemingway Museum, former residence of the famous writer, located in San Francisco de Paula. (Photos and Videos are allowed). Tour around the house, with a specialized guide, to observe his personal belongings, trophies and firearms and the room where he used to write, as well as his fishing souvenirs and the other remembrances of his life in Cuba. Visit to Cojimar, the fishing community where Hemingway celebrated his Pulitzer in 1953, with his fishermen friends and Gregocio Fuentes, captain of his yacht Pilar, and main character of his book the Old Man and the Sea. Visit to La Bodeguita Del Medio and Floridita Bars.

DAY 2 – COLONIAL AND MODERN HAVANA CITY TOUR

  • Breakfast at the Hotel.
  • Full day City Tour including Lunch – Colonial and Modern Havana.
  • Lunch is included.
  • Return to the Hotel
  • Dinner at a local restaurant
  • Overnight

COLONIAL AND MODERN HAVANA - Visit to Colonial Havana, declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1982. Walking tour in the historic center including main squares, fortresses and buildings, built by the Spaniards during the XVI and XIX centuries, with stops to buy crafts. Visit to belvedere “Cristo de La Habana”, from where you will have a panoramic view of the city from the other side of the bay. Also, visit to the touristic area of “La Cecilia” to enjoy the “interactive cuisine”, where you will have Cantina classes, and a presentation of a Bartender preparing typical Cuban cocktails. - Each tourist can actually prepare his/her own cocktail.

Lunch - It will be a cooking show of barbecued pork legs. The tourists will be able to help on the preparation of the barbecue and the pork will be served with bread, butter, salad, rice, mandioc with creoule sauce, etc… for dessert it will be served sweet rice, ice cream or coconut flan. -To close the meal, local Cuban coffee.

Continue the tour with a panoramic view of Old Havana, Havana’s University and the area of “Vedado” and “Miramar” to see different mansions built with different architectonic styles, such as modern, eclectic, gothic, among others. Then, proceed to visit the Revolution Square, time for pictures. Here you will be able to enter the exterior parts of the plaza and the Mirador del Memorial Jose Marti.

DAY 3 – BOTANICAL GARDEN

  • Breakfast at the Hotel.
  • Botanical Garden Tour
  • Lunch at El Ranchon Restaurant (or similar).
  • Return to the Hotel
  • Dinner at a local Restaurant
  • Overnight at the Hotel

BOTANICAL GARDEN TOUR - Transfer to the Botanical Garden to visit the different collections and exhibits of Cuban and International tropical and subtropical flora. Visit to the Japanese Garden as well.

CANNON SHOT CEREMONY TOUR (Including Dinner) - departure to San Carlos de La Cabana fortress to see the Cannon Shot Ceremony, - Free time to visit the areas in the fortress.

DAY 4 – TIME TO SAY GOOD BYE

  • Breakfast at the Hotel.
  • Transfer out to Airport
