DAY 01 - GUATEMALA

GUATEMALA - Guatemala, officially the Republic of Guatemala, is a country in Central America bordered by Mexico to the north and west, the Pacific Ocean to the southwest, Belize to the northeast, the Caribbean to the east, Honduras to the east and El Salvador to the southeast. It spans an area of 108,890 km2 (42,043 sqmi) and has an estimated population of 15,806,675, making it the most populous state in Central America. A representative democracy, its capital is Nueva Guatemala de la Asunción, also known as Guatemala City.

DAY 02 - ANTIGUA GUATEMALA AND COFFEE PLANTATION

  • Visit the city of Antigua Guatemala

  • Visit one of the oldest coffee plantation
  • Dinner at a local Restaurant

VISIT THE CITY OF ANTIGUA GUATEMALA - Antigua is among the world’s best conserved colonial cities. It is a magical and captivating small town that will make you feel time stopped some 300 years ago. The visit will begin by “Cerro de La Cruz” to have a magnificent view of the City, and then heading to “Plaza Central” to see “The Cathedral”, “San Francisco Church”, “La Merced”, “Calle del Arco”, and “Museo del Jade”.

VISIT ONE OF THE OLDEST COFFEE PLANTATION - In the afternoon visit one of the oldest coffee plantations in Guatemala. Finca La Azotea. You will have the opportunity to discover how coffee is made. Our guide will show the whole process since the beans are picked up in the plantation until it is served as one of the best coffees in the world. This will be a very interesting experience that will teach you all the hard work that takes to make a cup of coffee and the people who are involved.

DAY 03 - SAN JUAN LA LAGUNA & SANTIAGO ATITLAN

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • San Juan La Laguna & Santiago Atitlan
  • Lunch at a local Restaurant
  • In the afternoon transfer back to Antigua
  • Dinner at a local Restaurant

SAN JUAN LA LAGUNA & SANTIAGO ATITLAN - Visit to Lake Atitlán, one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. The word “Atitlán” is a Mayan word that translates as “the place where the rainbow gets its colors”. Upon arrival discover the magic that surrounds all its greatness while taking a boat to cross the Lake and visit two different Tzutuhil Villages. Visit to San Juan La Laguna, a small town around the lake, where you’ll be able experience the Mayan culture to the purest. Then transfer to Santiago where you will visit the confraternity of the local saint named Maximon or RiLaj Mam, visited by different people of different ethnicities who come to ask health and prosperity in their lives. Whether you believe in it or not, make sure to enjoy this magical experience. Transfer back to Panajachel by boat to have lunch.
